Curve strap brush question

Hi - not sure if this is the right section to post this in, but here goes.

I’m using the curve strap brush, drawing it over the surface of an object and then removing the object so it looks like the object is made of straps.

I’ve got the start point locked and I’ve got the curve snapping to the surface and imbedding - what I want to know is if there is a way to limit the kinematic effect of modifying the curve? At the minute if I click drag a point on the curve to move it the whole length of it starts writhing around. I want to be able to nudge just a bit of the laid down curve at a time so I can precisely follow a pattern.

Are there settings for this and where can I find them?

Cheers all.

If you turn on both Lock Start and Lock End in the Stroke>Curve sub-palette then you can adjust the middle of the curve without the ends moving. (Though note that you will still be able to move the ends if you click+drag them.) You can also adjust the blue edit curve cursor size by adjusting the CurveEdit Radius in Stroke>Curve Modifiers.

The Curve Radius is what you need to adjust to limit the effect.

Many thanks both - I’ll give it a go and see how I get on.

Cheers
