Curve/Insert Mesh - Tank Tread

Hello everyone!!!

Would anyone know why this is happening? I tried to create a Tank Tread insert mesh brush and apply it to the curve. I drag it and hold shift so that it shows it goes around the whole geometry as expected. What I can’t figure out is why the insert mesh seems to twist. I attached a screenshot and think I have messed with every feature under stroke and brush but can’t seem to figure it out. Embarrassed to say I probably have been trying for at least a few hours. Hopefully someone can end my misery

The curve/insert mesh feature seems to be the most difficult for me regardless of how many videos I seem to watch - hoping to get some help.

Have you checked the brush to make sure you created it parallel to a plane or floor? What I mean is, can the brush you made be slightly off level?

Thanks for replying dillster. I checked just to make sure it is level and I enabled the floor and zoomed in to the max to make sure there were was nothing funny going on. Everything that way is fine.

Also if there is any way to achieve the same results with another method I’d be happy to try it.

I think I am slowly figuring out what it is. It seems at a low poly count it doesn’t know how to accurately position the object based on the curve. Probably a lot more technical than that. When I divide the object it lays on - it seems to work better. The only thing I am not sure of is if there is something wrong with my low poly model.
