Cursor lag in zbrush 2018.1

Hello all,

I’m running into some pretty serious cursor lag even when trying to sculpt on a simple sphere. I’m really at a loss as for what’s causing this. My tablet monitor seems to be working fine with photoshop and I’ve tried sculpting only with the mouse and the lag is still present. It’s probably also worth mentioning that I don’t have this issue when running zbrush on my laptop when using the same tablet monitor.

Any ideas?

Off hand, I’d say to make sure that you don’t have high DPI scaling turned on. Right-click the ZBrush shortcut and choose Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab, then click “Change high DPI settings.” On the new window, make sure that the checkbox for “Override high DPI scaling behavior” is turned on and the combo box is set to Application.

Thanks for the input, I would have never thought to have checked that. It didn’t solve my problem but it’s good to know. It looks like I had MultiDraw turned on even though I only have one processor. As soon as I turned that off everything began running as smooth a butter. (phew)
