Curse of the sea

Finishing on this creature … but still a lot more to go for my scene …
the creature is a cursed old pirate… mutated to be a part of the sea life and immobilized as a coral… causing his body to fluff up and deteriorate …

Will be workin now on the envo and the second character for the scene …

The second char will the one who is gona make the scene complete

Hey, this is how I kind of feel right now. I have a cold

His guy’s got a great expression. His face alone tells quite a story. I also really dig the way you’ve painted him and the corrosive cavities you’ve placed here and there on his body.

I’ll be watching how this develops.

thankx EricArtman !

M happy that u felt the expression is expressive …

I really like your character man, good work with the texture too.

great work

Expression says it all on your character rohan.Textures are also good. :+1:

Really beautiful work. The face expression is so sad. Your colors are really nice and the butt flippers are funny.

My only crit is the skulls on the base seem stuck on. Maybe you could add some sediment on and around them.

i look forward to more!

this is fantastic.

top row for sure :+1: :+1:

it would be great to see a dark blue background. maybe a little post-production touching in PS like hes deep in the ocean. i think a matt green distracts a little from your awesome texture job. i feel so sorry for that guy, hehehe great job man.

Awesome model and render. :+1: :+1: . What material did you use to get the shine quite nicely on his head?

awsome work man! i love it !

how did you make that blur effect? did you use photoshop and manually do it? or?

really nice work Rohan! It’s a quiet unique character and the expression of him is fantastic! :+1: :+1: :+1:

I would also be sad if i were in such a situation like him!

Code man is right though only thing we can comment on are the skulls.
Maybe you can use some alphas wrapped around the skulls, alphas like see grass or moss, so it looks older and integrated to the ground. else it just looks like green skulls freshly fallen in front of him.

And this is not his real environment right? I mean u said there is a scene where he is in with another character? I am looking forward to see that in combination!

Great Stuff and top row!!!

the big guy has a really good emotion on his face , nice work

alphagsv,stankovigorro,gaurav_indian,Codeman,testure,henrysouth,SolidSnakexxx,Pooop,Lunatic,canndis … Thanx a ton guys !

Codeman,Lunatic . Thats an awesome suggestion …will do wht u mentioned …

henrysouth … yeh the background would be different … as he will be in an envo …

SolidSnakexxx - wel its just a single material on the entire body … but made variations in spec to get that effect … on head area

Pooop . yeh the blur is through Zdepth in maya then usin it in lens blur in photosop … just for presentation …

attaching a test envo … dint attach it b4 … cuz need to still tweak it as the proj progresses …

that looks awesome man! the only crit I have is that he looks like he’s in a bubble because the atmospheric perspective suddenly stops about 15 feet away from him. If it were a gradient, it would look just like it were underwater! :+1:

hmm … well he is underwater … but … yes there is a air pocket around him … a force is pushing it away … havent modeled that person yet

well that makes sense then. carry on

started working on my second character for the scene … updates …
