3D Sculpture inspired by the Vehiled Christ of Giuseppe Sanmartino, the original was completed in 1753 and is located in the Cappella Sansevero in Naples, Italy.
The 3D model was built using photos and videos taken from Google as references, everything was modeled from scratch apart from the mannequin which is my tool Embryo (link to Embryo’s page: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/QnYObZ).
I have used a combination of software in order to achieve the task:
-Blender for setting the base meshes, polygonal modeling, rendering purposes, and video editing.
-Marvelous Designer to study the veil and generate its base meshes.
-Zbrush for sculpting, adding volumes, further elaborating, and refining shapes.
-3D Coat for clinging the veil’s mesh and doing the retopo of the whole model.
