Creature Design T.T vs. S.T

Hi everyone,
[font=Calibri]

This is my first post here. I’m glad to show you my creature design who I named them T.T. (The fat one) and S.T…

I have been working on these two creatures for a while. Both of them are based on my maquettes. The base mash were built in Maya and detailed in Zbrush. I hope you guys like them.

Hi very cool first post.how do you find working in z brush compared to working hands on with clay? what medium did you learn first ?
very nice work

Quite good man, I like the monster face and the guy with the hat.
But concerning TT and ST, I think the proportions are a bit off…

Moreover, you probably forgot to activate the perpective view in ZBrush! That’s why it looks weird!
Just press the key “P” to activate it and tell me how it looks now!

Thanks! I learned traditional art for a long time before I started to use Zbrush. Frankly, I have to say I like to sculpt on with clay better so far. But the more works were done in Zbrush the more I like this program.

Thanks! Yes, I didn’t activate the perspective view. Here are two pics with Perspective on, are they look a little bit better now?

hey nice work! Love the maquettes

Yeah! Much better now!
A pix with these monsters facing from foreground to background would show how much it’s important to enable perspective view!

I’d love to be able to traditionnally sculpt like you man!
Hands on real clay and no more headaches with polygons and topology!

Thank you~!

Yeah, I totally agree with you. I can see the differences.

I just feel so bad when Zbrush crash and I forget to save my work~ I think I’ll get used to that later.

Thanks again man~

Hi bitans! Cool worx man! Love the TT an ST! Your clay sculpts of those two are amazing! I hope you’re gonne keep working on the Zbrush models to get that same level of detail and intensity! Lookin’ forward to the updates! :+1: !

Thanks man! I’ll keep working on some more Zbrush models. I’ll post them here once I think they are good to go~

Hi Everyone,

This is my newest work WIP. As you can see in the last picture, I’m making a guy playing basketball with the monster. I got the idea from the moive “Space Jam.” I would like to hear some suggestions from you.

Thanks~

Hi bitans! Cool idea man! Great anatomy sculpt! Might wanna’ check the length of the lower leg on the monster, looks a bit short on the rear view pic. Lookin’ forward to the update!

Hi everyone,

Here are some more works that I’m working on recently. The old guy is based on one of my earlier models, and I print a texture on him.

The basic idea of the group scene is based on the story of Greek mythology - Pygmalion & Galatea: a famous sculptor and his creation which comes alive. And also I kept adding some of my own ideas during sculpturing. I would like to hear your suggestion to help me improve this piece. Thanks~

:+1: very cool! I love the face with different colors. Is there any special meaning for that? I think I saw masks like that before.

Wow, love the composition of the 3d elements …amazing piece! :+1: :+1:

The sculptor’s back is very nicely modelled. :+1:

If the skeleton and cloth around the woman are meant to be the result of the artist’s chiselling then really you’d need to rethink them a bit, making all the bones more connected, adding support struts, thickening the fabric.

Cheers,

R
