Creating normal map from Just smoothing

Hello.

Is there a way to create normals based on simply ‘smoothing’ a model?
More specifically:
I imported a model to Zbrush (image 'low) and subdivided it a couple of times so it became almost a perfect sphere (image ‘high’). I then generated the normal map which was simply blue (which causes no result). What i wanted to do is make the low poly model look smooth through the normal map, but Zbrush only seems to create normap map details where something is sculpted.
Is there some way to achive what I’m trying?

Thats a good one!

If you have a low res sphere, and you want to get it smooth, noneed to generate a normamlmap for that… It would render blue anyway…
Jut make a smoothing group to 1, and render in pixel shading, your sphere will render smooth, except for the outlines.

Thanks for the reply.
But my question was not only specific to the sphere (that was an example of what i generally wan’t to do with Zbrush).
I work in a game developemnt company and we’re thinking of using Zbrush in our workflow.
But, if what i need is not posible then we have no use of it. Curently we’re using 3dsMax to create the normals from i highres model.
What i generally wan’t to do is import low poly objects to zbrush, subvivide them to ‘smoothen’ them (probably later sculpt some areas) and create a normal map that will make the object look smooth (allong with any details I may have sculpted) in the game engine.

I saw this thread http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=106
but the script doesn’t seem to be available.
