Creating New Topology as part time job. good or bad

it may seem silly for some people but then agen i could be a good idea for a some you out there.
well the idea is, could ther be found any work on Creating New Topology for an all ready made sculpt for professionals that do not want to waist there time?.

Personaly for now i would also exept to do this from talted profesionals for free that the can teach me some tricks on how to do this corectly or any usefull feed back.

thx cant wait to hear what you think

That’s how I started in the Biz, about 9 years ago…but we used Freeform,
Paraform, and Maya instead of Zbrush. I did retopo over hi-res body scans using Paraform. Any one remeber Intergraph and Wildcat? I had a nice dual P3 800MHZ back then, but if I remember it would take about 40 minutes to load one model…How far we have come! As far as your question…if you can get the work and make money…go for it!

thats often often the type of work that is give to juniors at many studios. the senior artists focus on the shapes and forms, and the technical grunt work ( retopology/ uv work ) gets moved over to junior artists while senior artists move onto something else.

it doesn’t happen everywhere but it does happen.

i see thx for the info i really don’t think i can make money from doing something like this at least for now but i will try it out when i start my uni this year to get some usefull feedback for profesionals.
