Creating 3D models that will move for SuperHero comic art Need help

Hi I am new to the forums but really excited to be here. I just picked up Poser 7 and Z Brush 3. I am a suscriber to Lynda.com and went through the essentials on Poser 7 yesterday…but I am at a loss. It covers the basics and what Poser 7 does… but I need some solid artists help I think with Z Brush and how it might work me through my work flow.

I want to create models for characters like Wolverine or the Hulk, Spider Man, or Batman, Hellblazer, Storm, Psylocke, etc. That I can move around (and pose) for comic book layouts and pages, covers, etc.

Could I do that in Z Brush 3 and then move them into Poser 7? Or could I create scuplts in z brush 3 and bring them into another program and then animate them for different layouts and situations?.

I thought Poser would be able to really manipulate the Human form to get all kinds of weird sized and shaped characters… I’ve made a couple of heads that are ok (pretty much Human super hero male heads) but it’s just all very new to me. I just got everythin this weekend so I am literally at stage 1.(or -1)

I can draw fine so the creation part once I understand the technology should fall into place well.

For anyone who can help I would love some assitance, suggestions on tutorials that might help, or another program that might be more what I am looking for. I have access to Maya also if that’s of any assitance with my question.

so bottom line I am trying to create a set of specific character maniquins I can use for my comic pages, in multiple poses, turn them, move them around, light them, etc.

thanks in advance for any help. I can’t wait to show the results~!
