Can anyone help me with a way of obtaining the white colour in polypaint please.
I tried for instance to paint white on Matcap Red Wax, it does not work, it seems to take the same colour as the red wax.
Many thanks
red wax will always give anything white a red hue.
you need to change your material to something that doesn’t have a hue already in it. Basic Material for example.
Thank you for your reply.
I have tried different materials in ZBrush but unfortunately none could produce a polypaint vivid white.
This is what I want to achieve in zbrush/polypaint - see attachment. I created it in C4D, but 3D Paint in C4D does not have the flexibily of Polypaint as far as radial symetry is concerned. I would like to do complicated polypaint symetrical coloured (mainly white) designs in ZBrush and export the colour information to C4D.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Many thanks
if you’re painting White then it is white. Note that there isn’t a true white in nature unless you’re talking about a light…even then I’m not sure if you can get pure white.
Anyway. Unwrap your object and convert your polypaint to texture. Export out your model and your texture to whatever 3d app you want and render.
If you apply the FLAT color material you’ll see what color you’re painting without any shading information, if that helps at all.
Thank you very much. I will give it a go.
