Z4R6 and Z4R7 32/64-bit has old deprecated code in your memory check routines for Create New Texture from Cavity Mask, when the “4GB memory limit check” exceeds some hardcoded value in your code:
Two error-message windows appear, - clicking OK x2 - then Zbrush continues to work.
Reproduce: Win7, 8GB RAM
- Take one 21.7 million poly subtool, (UVd properly)
- 1 UV map size 4096
- Do a Mask by Cavity
- Create New Texture from Cavity Mask
Error window pops up “Out of Memory, backup is saved, ZB will now exit, etc…” and it does nothing, I can press OK: ZB completes the Create New Texture from Cavity Mask function and I can continue working.
