Crease variations?

Hey everyone,

Does anyone know if it is possible when using the Zmodeler to create creases of different sizes? The creases are really tight and I would like to adjust them to be a bit more relaxed. I’d like to create more of a radius along a polygroup edge then a crease. Any ideas or tutorials on this ?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Cheers, Cad

You can make creases more relaxed with the slider creaselvl (crease level)
Basically it stops creasing beyond certain subdivision. Then if you set 2, beyond that level won’t crease. Without this slider to achieve the same effect you would be forced to subdivide a couple of times and then delete creasing.
Also I think it is compatible with dynamic subdivisions and you can do real time tests to see that level suits you more.

I hope this was what you was asking.

Yeah that works. Thank you!!!

Also I was watching a tutorial and they show that applying a bevel to creased areas relaxes it a TON.

Its the 5th video of 14 of a zmodeler plasma bolter tutorial. At about the 32-33 min point he shows it.

I did take a look and he seems doing control loops. Obviously it always work but it is extra geometry and extra work, but necessary to achieve specific effects.
