Crease and nanomesh question

Hi, everybody.

Could you help me please with the Crease tool?
Is Crease Tool let set value of edge creasing(more or less sharpen)?
For example I’d like to set edge sharpness by 80%.
Is it possible?

Another question about nanomesh.
By default when I create geometry with nano mesh in base mesh it’s placed in center of popygon.
Is it possible plase nanomesh in vertex position?

Hey there, Dmi3ryd!

I’m by no means a ZB expert (barely intermediate), but I have been using the crease function a lot lately. I think you can play around with the creaselvl slider (geometry > crease) and see if it gives you the results you need.

Sorry if I can’t be of more help.

Hello SKYWAYS128.

Unfortunately, this is not what I mean :frowning:

Crease levels didn’t let set distance of beveled edge.

No, it’s not possible. To do that, you will need to have the creasing edge affecting more than 1 edge. Creasing in Zbrush is done on an edge and there is no averaging with the adjacent edges.
BUT, if you look at the side of the creasing button you have a slider with levels. The slider indicate till which subdivision level the “hard edge” will retine its hardness without getting the influenced by SMT button in the subdivision.
Example:
if you put the crease slider to Lv4 the hard edge will go to the level 4 of subdiv and then it will be considered by zbrush as a normal edge.

Yes at the bottom of the nanomesh menu you have option for that.

Hope that help.

Many thanks for your help.

Could you please make a screenshot with this option?
