Crazy amount of errors. What could get wrong?

Hi everyone! I would appreciate your help. Is any chance to open the file with all the errors? I tried to skip the memory load and load the tools from the file. Nothing worked:( No quick safe files are available, unfortunately. Thank you!!

Hello @Elenaaa

Could you clarify for me whether this is something happening only with a specific file, or whether it happens with any file you try to open?

Thanks!

Hello @Spyndel!
Happen to one, specific .zpr file. Other files work fine.
I installed the last ZBrush on another computer disk. And uninstalled my old one. Can it be a reason?
Thank you!

In that case, the most likely scenario is that the file has been corrupted somehow, or some of the subtools are problematic in some way. I’m not aware of any way to retrieve the tools from it if “Load Tools from Project” doesn’t work. :slightly_frowning_face:

While the error messages don’t necessarily lead me to believe this, another possibility is that it’s a memory issue–the file may have become too large either to open, or to save reliably with your available memory. What is the size of your file and how much system RAM do you have?

Unless your system specs have significantly changed, I wouldn’t think so. Again, available RAM is important for large files. You can’t load project files created from a later version into an earlier version of the program, but the error messages would have notified you of this if this were the situation.

I have years of ZBrush files from copies installed on different machines that still open fine. I also have Zbrush files from years ago that will no longer open for a variety of reasons, including storage media failure.

I’m sorry you’re having this problem! As always, it’s important to save aggressively in a series of different file versions when working with complex graphical software, but it’s not a fun way to learn that. I also recommend saving out your individual tools as .ztl files periodically, separately from the main project file.

I see. Thank you so much for your help!
I think you are right. Ram 16 Gb plus the file corruption caused the problem. I will save aggressively next time. :raised_hands:
