hey guys I was working on a head when I got some cracks in my mesh. How they got there was through a mirror and weld with some masks on. I would like to know if there is any way I can merge the various parts of the mesh and then re-spotlight/smoothen over it to make it seamless again. Thanks for any input!
You could just inflate the areas round the cracks till they meet then dynamesh and sculpt out the damage
Thanks for responding. I keep trying and it seems like they don’t touch. I’m going to try using the topology brush to make a shell, spotlight/color it, then pushing it back for a merge. Maybe this’ll work. I’ll post my progress
It looks to me that this problem could be addressed by welding button. Before you manipulate the mesh make sure the mesh is welded on geometry/modify topology/weld points
Hey there. I hit that button but nothing seemed to happen. I managed to find a solution but splitting each part into a seperate subtool and then just using the move brush to expand the edges and then merged the subtools back. Thanks for everything guys
Well done zbrush can be a pain in the ass when it bugs out like that
