Innuendo , inference and loveable ineptitude are a cultural crux.
With regards angles - those rejected lacked the subtlety required to implicate the viewer yet pardon the artist

Regarding symbolic interpretation I’m a great believer that people who throw rice or confetti at weddings should be arrested for indecent inference .
