Copy UV splits all UV edges

I’m trying to copy UV’s from one subtool to another. I copy and paste the UV’s. Then I use morph UV to check them. When the subtool is morphing it looks like the edges around all polygons have been split. They move into the correct position, but the polypaint does not transfer correctly.

When I bring the mesh into Maya it shows that all the edges are split and the UV editor has problems trying to sew them together.

What do you mean when you say “problems trying to sew them together”?

In the UV editor the edges don’t seem to match. Instead of selecting two sides of the same edge. One side is in one part of the shell and the other side is in a different part.

The first image is from ZBrush after I morph the UVs. In the Maya UTE when I try to select an edge it selects different edges from different places.

looks like your UVs are spun.

There is a cycle UVs button…in tool>UVs I believe.

apply a texture to your mesh (checker pattern or the like) and see if spinning them fixes it.

That was it, thanks!

Nevermind, it didn’t work. I ended up remaking everything and saved over the original file and at a glance it seemed to be the problem, but when I tried it on another model with the same problem it didn’t work.
