Converting open mesh to closed

Hi, I have a 1.5M poly head model that has an open mesh with 95,000 polys at SubD 1, 2 HD subD’s and UV’s (re-meshed in ZB). I’ve also got a detailed texture painted on the model. I need to convert it to a closed mesh whilst keeping all the detail. The neck is clean but the eye holes have some irregular topology. I’ve tried Zremesher to clean the topology before I close the holes in my 3d app, but it loses the UV’s. I’d be grateful for any ideas. Thanks, David

If the problem is just to keep your UV you can do it again. On Zbrush is very easy to make UV maps with UV Master.

Hi, I was trying to avoid creating a new texture map and HD bump map. My model is wearing spectacles so I was unable to use the ZBrush renderer because it doesn’t do real refraction. Therefore I had to export the model to my 3D package, but that would only apply a skin shader to a closed mesh. However, I’ve just discovered Keyshot which is a superior renderer to both, accepts obj’s and isn’t fussy about skin-shading an open mesh. Thanks for replying.
