Connect edges to verts Zremesher & edit topology

Rather frustrated because the lack of a tool to connect with more freedom edges with points. The most similar thing I have found is split that is rather messy as I have no control with what vert the split edge will connect. Slice is not great for single edges. Anybody knows any workaround about that? (the equivalent to cut tool in Max)

Then I was going to use the Zsphere edit topology but I discover that even when works ok in the default star or initialazed meshes as soon I edit them with zremesher topology tool can not edit them any more. It can perhaps add a couple of lines and then start to malfuntion and stopping me creating edges where I want. Eventually creates a mesh inside of the mesh that was not initially there.

This simply tested with a cube created with initialazed and then adding a inset with zmodeler.

Sometimes it’s necessary to weld or delete points before trying to close holes. Seen that. I’ve also started models over when things didn’t go as expected and to my liking :wink:

Rather than closing holes I’m trying to create chanfers for windows like these radial lines:

The normal chamfer tools don’t apply here, or at least I don’t know how. But the nearer tool is split edges that creates lots of edges where I don’t want to.

This would be easy in the topology tool of Zbrush but it is buggy for this kind of operation to the point of not being able to use at all. And I suppose I know the quirky things that you need to do to have topology tools working, but perhaps not in this case.

This is rather trivial to achieve with the cut tool in Max using Goz, but I rather remain inside of Zbrush, otherwise what is the point of the zmodeler. Also Max GOZ wipes all creasing lines, forcing me to work only in one program unless somebody knows how to keep the creasing with GOZ Max.
