Hello Good People,
Let me preface this by saying I am fairly new to zbrush. I am however not new to cg and have used other programs professionally for the last six years.
After finding that today my ctrl -z does not work anymore I did some digging and found a thread about it which pointed me to the zstartup dir.
I have found that there is no file whatsoever in either dir for
C:\Users\Public\Documents\ZBrushData\ZStartup\ConfigFiles
C:\Users\Public\Documents\ZBrushData\ZStartup\Hotkeys
Is this normal? I am assuming there is supposed to be a .txt in those dirs and I am curious why there is nothing. I am not sure if there was anything in them yesterday. I tried creating a new StartupHotkeys.txt file in the hotkeys dir with the following but it made no difference after restarting zbrush4
//ZBrush Hotkeys [BRUSH:MORE ITEMS,98] // B [BRUSH:STANDARD,5447796] // Popup+T [BRUSH:SMOOTH STRONGER,5447795] // Popup+S [BRUSH:MOVE ELASTIC,5054565] // Popup+E [BRUSH:MPOLISH,7151728] // Popup+P [BRUSH:CLIPCURVE,4399203] // Popup+C [BRUSH:CLAYLINE,4399212] // Popup+L [ZPLUGIN:MISC UTILITIES :<<BRUSH,219] // [ [ZPLUGIN:MISC UTILITIES :BRUSH>>,221] // ]
[EDIT:UNDO,634] // Ctrl+Z [EDIT:TOOL:UNDO,634] // Ctrl+Z [EDIT:REDO,890] // Ctrl+Shift+Z [EDIT:TOOL:REDO,890] // Ctrl+Shift+Z
I was using zbrush all day yesterday and ctrl - z worked fine. The hotkeys for smooth, inverse brush still work fine and as I mentioned there is nothing in the hotkeys dir… Those must be listed somewhere else.
Anyways, Id just like to get back into learning this package, and would really like my undo hotkey back. Any help is appreciated. On a side note, is there anything in zbrush similar to the script editor in maya that may be useful for debugging?
Thanks,
Justin
