Conan_The Barbarian

Hi, guys
I am posting here a work that I have made some time ago using subpatch Lightwave for modeling and ZBrush displacement map. My intention using ZBrush in this model was to create fine details like veins and muscle. Seeing the image now I think that there are somethings that I would make diferent today, but I like the final result anyway. I hope you like too. It was made just for fun.

Did I understand that you plan to use zbrush on this or hav ealready used zbrush on these? At any rate, even though I am a z-purist at the moment, I love this.

excellent models!! he looks pretty pissed off

im such a flaw finder…couldnt help noticing it looks like you accidentally erased a chunk of his hair and its just floating there next to his head. :stuck_out_tongue:

Cool. I love Conan stuff and your model rocks !

Great work man,
me too use lightwave and when you have the time could you reply some question;
Whic version do you use?
Have extract the disp map of the full body?
How have you did the perfect rig?
Thx for reply
bye
leo

Great models and very raw looking.

In the fourth image the landscape on the background is a photo or it’s realised with an ambiental generator?

_klebedaja- Hi, klebedaja! I am glad that you liked. Bye!

_Ron Harris- Hi, Ron! Yes, it was rendered in LW. Actually I already have used ZBrush to creat the displacement map but just to add fine details. I will try to create something using pure ZBrush yeat but I don´t think I am ready for this. Bye!

_vivien- Hi, vivien! Thanks for your reply! I am happy that you liked! Bye!

_IllustrateLife- Hi, dude! Sorry but I don´t see the same way. The hair is ok for me, but thanks for your opinion anyway. Bye!

_olidSnakexxx- Hi, olidSnakexxx! Yeah, I like Conan stuffs too. Some time ago I have modeled Red Sonja. I think this universe is very interesting to create in 3d. Thanks for your feedback. Bye!

_saltapiedras- Hello, saltapiedras! I am glad that you liked, dude. Thanks!

_marciani- Hi, leo! The LW version that I used was 7.5. Yes, I have extracted the displacement map for his intire body and the helmet. Actually it is a very simple rig, kinda basic rig for human bodies. If you want you can find some tips here: http://members.shaw.ca/lightwavetutorials/Main_Menu.htm
Bye, leo!

_MattHHH- Hi, HHH! I am glad that you liked. The background image in this picture is a photo. Bye!

Can I give oyu the idea that i’ve had for your work.

Try to put more blood on the swords,on the Conan’s and the dead barbarian’s bodies,on the ground everywhere. The last image is cool, but to be a real battle scene it needs more blood. You’re modelling a slaughter, don’t forget this and in this sense your image is too clean.

Obviously this isonly my opinion. You can listen it,or not.

greetings and max respect,MattHHH:cool:

hi Mauro,
nice modeling, congratulations

_MattHHH- Hi, MattHHH! Thanks for your feedback and opinion, I really apreciated, but at this point I have no intentions to change anything in this scene. As I told before this is an old work and I am trying something new. But thank you anyway.

_dcmoutinho- Hi, Daniel. Thanks for you nice comment, dude.

Caro MAURO,

Vc é um cara internacional e eu nem sabia!
Belíssimo trabalho amigo!
