Hi all i’m building a computer for CG art and wondering how to optimize it for zbrush. I heard graphics card isn’t as important for zbrush but wondering if it would help if I upgraded mine…
Right now my system is:
AMD 2700x Ryzen
64 GB DDR4 ram @ 3200 mhz
Nvidia Quadro p 5000 (old card) I think it has 3GB of memory
Would it help me to upgrade my video card to a geforce 2070 RTX at all for zbrush? What would you upgrade next?

Note that Zbrush is almost entirely CPU-driven, so upgrading a video card will not have much or any impact on Zbrush’s performance. It may be useful for other software, however, depending on what else you are doing with your machine.
Assuming you have enough RAM to work comfortably in Zbrush (you do), a more powerful CPU will always be the most effective upgrade.
