complete newb to 3d art

hey all,
i need some help bad. i consider myself a pretty good pencil and paper artist but dealing with pixels is a bit hard. i browsed through scripts that some people had created but they go by to fast to actually see what is being clicked… i have problems with creating the detailed part of the models. i can draw and move to get an alright proportion but fail after that. wondering if someone can direct me to a step by step way to model with the steps including actually telling me why that button was clicked…how can i make the polygons smaller to detail better…thanks in advance…

here are the my first two projects, just trying to learn the program, but from here i don’t know where to go

you can slow down zscripts. one of the ways is to turn show actions and notes on. you can also pause it by putting the cursor in upper left corner.

that should help ya view them better.

hey guys
i already had the tutorials, after deciding to actually take the time and read them instead of trying to jump into things. seems as if they actually do help, played with the gyro thing and alpha masks so far, guess the tuts really do help. you just gotta take the time and apply the instructions. slowly i am learning new things…sweet…give me a while to fully understand and i will show everyone top notch art…everyone here is great…appreciate the hospitality…
