as everyone jumps on the bandwagon of opening up a thread about the comicon entry, i’ll d the same

the final beauty sheet, man i was tired when i finished this at 5:30am local time on friday. I’m totally unhappy with it - the pose stinks, the facial expression stinks, its cheesy and the total opposite of what i wanted to do. however from 3am to 5:30 my body and brain have been in zombielike autopilot i wasn’t able to produce anything more memorable. It’s now “finished” and will stay this way - i doubt the one hour i had left till the deadline would have helped me a lot, so i call this one done.

Dude! Your being way too hard yourself. The final character is very well done and quite compelling. At least you now have an asset you can use for other things. Love the shoes, and the style of clothing chosen. Very apropos.

The only things that seem a little off are: the background doesn’t seem to mesh with the character - the reason, there’s no rain hitting her, or in front of her, and her left arm (the one on the right) could be in a slightly more dynamic position.

BUT - AGAIN, FANTASTIC final asset, love the hair in the beauty shot, and even though the background doesn’t mesh completely, it in this instance actually works because it pops the character forward.The face is good - I think the expression actually has just the right amount of intensity - it’s making us guess…what happens next.

SO GOOD JOB. WELL DONE. Very like-able and plausible. If you put her in a toon or a comic, I’d watch or read it.

@martym: thanks for the feedback, totally agree with most points - but you can see on her chest that the “rain” layer is in front of her, i guess i should have done it more obvious in front of the darker parts, dunno - its done now not gonna touch it again but will keep it in mind for the next one :slight_smile:
