colormap based on thickness of model?

Hi,
I’m trying to create a color map (heat map) based on the thickness of my model. This is actually for a bone, and I want the surface of the bone to be informative with regards to the thickness of the mesh. For example, where the bone is thick, it will be green, where it is thin, it will be red. This is similar to what is seen when problem areas are identified in 3d models prior to 3d printing (i.e. too thin).

As a new user of Zbrush, I’d be very grateful for any suggestions!
