color problem with noise (4R6)

hi all
I have this strange behavior of noise
if I apply the noise with solo mode, I obtain this color (the dark color si just a base obtained with “fill object”; the bright color is applied with the noise)
I wouldn’t like to apply the noise to the mesh

as soon as I deactivate the solo mode, the color change (we are speaking of the vines on the left arm)

you can see that the bright color becomes darker

do you know why?

ty very much
bye
Luca

I tried, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem with the material. Instead it was enough to select an other subtool to view the correct color. (and again if i select the vines, it turns on the wrong color)

It’s probably mostly due to a problem of visualising the “masked object dimming” ( menu preference - edit). Trie to activate the polypaint mode for all the subtool by clicking on the paint brush inside the subtool menu with shift. It will neglect the dimming of object selection. Zbrush don’t understand the color of surface noise as polypainting and and so don’t activated the poly paint brush by default when you use it.

Hope it make sense.

If it don’t I will do a video to explain. tell me if needed?

i didn’t understood what should i do with the option in preferences --> edit.

I turn on all the paint brush in inside the subtool box, but it wasn’t that. Actually, re-opening the project, it is darker both if the subtool is selected and if not selected.
Now i changed the color of the noise and again it seems to be fixed… but I still cannot understand the behavior

btw thanks for all the attempts
