Color changes after accepting Fibermesh and won't add further color correctly

After pressing accept to turn the Fibermesh into a subtool, my fibermesh subtool was colored blue, even though it was black before accepting.

Then, when I paint the fibermesh subtool, black will not turn the blue back into black(it stays blue) and red just makes the blue fibermesh violet or purple. It’s like I have a blue base mesh that I didn’t wan’t in the first place and all the colors that I add are influenced by the blue base.

How can I color this fibermesh like a regular model and why did it turn blue in the first place?

Edit, Solution: Draw Polyframe was on but did not show any of the usual poly division lines, just a solid blue color, which was the color of the 1 polygroup. Same with the character’s face, all one color, which also was a result of draw polyframe. Neither the face or hair subtools showed lines, just colors.

Edit: polyframe was on but no polylines were showing:

I exported the “blue” fibermesh subtool as an obj, imported it, and it came back without the blue tone and I was able to color it normally. See above edit.

Did you try turning off the Polyframe button? The color is probably just the polyframe fill. Polygroups display as different colors. The Lines will show if you click on the little “Line” in the button.

Thanks, Marcus. I also had inadvertently hit the line text button on Draw Polyframe like you suggested.
