Click & Drag Polygroup Problems

The goal is to delete half of the model, then mirror and weld it to get everything even again. Every time Ctl Shift or just Ctl drag, this happens?

Windows or Mac? Looks like object isn’t aligned to center of world…

Windows? How do you center it? Never mind I centered it. Same thing happened.

You have to ensure that the model is positioned properly before you can do it.

Under geometry/ position, I zeroed out the x,y and z. I used shift to snap the object then the same thing happened? I found some loose fragments inside the model, then deleted them and still have the same issue?

In the right side bar you have a button call L_sym try to push it before mirror and weld. This button make a local symmetry plan in the barycentre of your model.
If it doesn’t work the alternative is to go to the transform menu and use the set pivot point button. This one does the exact opposite of the previous one… It move the model to the center of the world. Do your mirror and weld and the go to menu transform to reset the set pivot point back to its original position.
