Hello everyone. I am trying to decide which would be my best buy after selling some organs on the black market and being able to choose between a Wacom 24hd and a Fujitsu t901. I know I would love the 24hd although it is a monster size wise and also on price. I was also thinking about a t901 from Fujitsu and was curious if it is possible to hook the notebook up to my main computer and use it to draw with? This would give me some measure of mobility at the cost of that nice 24 inch screen and shortcut buttons on the Cintiq. I’m basically wondering if the t901 can be used as something similar to a Cintiq 12ux if I wanted to at my main computer…play around do sketches and rough stuff out and about and when I need more horsepower, hook it up to my main and use it there. Is this possible? It seems like I read that there was convertible or tablet pc that could be used in this fashion, but I’m not finding it now. I will be using Zbrush and Photoshop on these and possibly Painter in the future.
Also one last question. I’m mostly set on the t901 if I do get a laptop instead of the 24hd. I know the Fujitsu computers sound good for what I want and Lenovo’s don’t look too bad either…are there any other guys who really compete in this market? I know of one or two other convertible manufacturers, but they don’t seem to have any face buttons to use if you use them as a tablet. Fujitsu sounds like about the best you can get for power/face buttons, though there is a price premium for it.
Sorry for the long post…I seem almost unable to make a small one lol. Thanks in advance for any replies, Later.
