looks great,my favorit is the second render test.the window of the church looks very cool.the mountains are great also and i really like the stone texture of the church.
Hi;
I agree with Manitu. The second pic is a hit.
Great texturing and landscape.
Fresh air of altitude
Pilou
another update

this is great
Well done, thanks for sharing! It is refreshing to see images done in other programs being posted here. Keep them coming.
changed the ground and made some dents in the stairs.
And a small lighting effect added.
this is it,great update on the stairs and the ground, looks very awesome.

Love the feeling of this environment!
And the detailing is believably even - no part seems more real than the rest. Just a feast for the eyes.
Bit bothered by the lighting though. With the light source where it is, isn’t the side of the scene facing us a bit bright? Maybe there is a snowbank over out left shoulder reflecting a lot of light into the shadows?
Or maybe the sky glare left of the mountain peak conflicts in my mind with the sun position, high and to our right? That sky glare looks to me like a “2nd sun”, but i guess it’s just an illuminated cloud.
Great work!

superb work, namek… the “mountain” feeling is very well rendered, with fresh light… is cine 4d a complicated software, and does it has the displacement map thazt will be usable in next zbrush version?..
Wow namek.
You’re spankin that C4D into submission.
Wonderful job.
A quick tip for you. You can make a plain and use matrix extrude with alternating variables to make really nice grass (fields or patches).
Nice man, keep up posted on the progress.
Tried your tip, I used a sphere and matrix extrude for the grass in the image above, because with a plane you had the squary edges around the patch , but I guess grouping and magnet tool can fix that.
little test.

@ marcel : Cinema4d is a very easy program , the learning curve isnt too steep , you can ask MTB , he knows when I started with C4D
As for displacement mapping , there is an option in the materials for displacement mapping. But I don’t know in what way it will work with Zbrush yet , awaiting the new version
I use it to get some relief and yet keep a low poly count in mountains mostly
looks great, I like the 3rd ground texture up, the one with more detail
yeah, but the problem with that one , was that it appeared too flat
just a test with grass , also enabled HDRI , mostly visible on the window.
Still going to change , thx for watching.
the grass looks freaking awesome! Damn, I like that. With the grass I can see my self standing on the steps and feel the wind blowing.
I’m anxious for a look inside - and it’s kinda chilly out here on the steps (but breathtakingly lovely).
Love to see this in Adobe Atmosphere, where one could wander around and inside, chat with the artist and such.
I like your experiments, Keep them coming! they are a very welcomed change.
