Chris Curtis Sketchbook (nudity)

Hey Etcher. Thanks man. Yep, I’m back but still pretty jet lagged. Hope to start up again real soon!

Back to work. I’ve done some more on the Vicious Snail. I may just pose him and continue sculpting/painting that way.

Glad to see your update, Captain.
Cool work on the snail, but I´m curious how the pose would look like.
Can´t imagine that.
Oh and may I ask you something?
I saw this grid-pattern somewhere before (I believe in the Action-Hero Contest).
How does this work?

Run for your lives!!!

Ah, cool! You using the newer Mac version of ZBrush? I envy you.

Looking nice. I like the subtle ridged texture on the shell.

Thanks guys! Moni-Poroni, the new mac version has a ground plane. It will feature in v3.5 when it’s finally released. Very handy to have!

Today’s progress - had a play with his pose and started a rock for his base.

Nice work on the snail Curtis(the images of the snail are very dark on my monitor.)

Keep it up

Thanks Lucky_1! I don’t know why my images are so dark. They’re just screen grabs. I’ll have to remember to adjust levels on them before I post.

Observe caution! Looks definitely like a vicious snail!
And thank you for the info. Didn´t know that.
I´m a PC user.
 That´s why I couldn´t find this ground plane.

hey captain,

very nice work on the snail. btw, its one of my favorite animals!
the pose looks dynamic! cool work so far!! :+1:

The toad is great, and nice turnaround!

Thanks once again guys!

I did a little to the rock. I’ve uploaded some more images that I have ‘lightened’. Can anyone tell me if they are bright enough or just look blasted out? Cheers

Looking fine here Curtis(maybe a little too light  )

Hi Cap! Evil snail! Is Nitrate gonna’ fight it? :+1: !

I´m with Lucky – maybe a little too light. But anyway, looks good.
You did a really great job on the – how is it called? The thing on the back where they live in.

Lucky_1: Thanks for the feedback
Etcher: Cheers! No I think Nitrate is a bit scared
Moni-Poroni: Thank you! The thing on his back is his shell

I’ve done a little more to the rock. Also added some battle damage. Like a cat’s got hold of him or something

Hey – sorry missed the last update. But I didn´t miss this one.
Excellent final version! The slime and the slick skin looks fantastic.
As I said before – I love the shell and you did a great job on the mouth, too!

Some day -if nobody is scared of my dogs anymore I´ll need your snail to keep the unwanted guests away.

If I had a garden and this guy was in it the plants would have to save themselves.
Awesome work

Moni-Poroni & Meskdavi2: Thank you!
