Chopsticks FFS(nude)WIP.

Hello!
I’m planin on making this one alive as much as i can, full figure study—> my first.
She’s not textured yet n i didn’t actually finish her body either, i’ll be updating her alot, i hope this goes somewhere, 'cause i have no idea what am i gonna use her for or what she’ll be so i’ll settle with a nude study for now!
i’m actually learning alot in this one sence I’ve never actually textured, rigged & animated, a charecter before!
i’ve read books that explain the process though, hopefully i’ll get all that applied!

but very good start. the face would be alot better if u droped the subD to the lowest and just ran the smooth tool over the whole thing at 10 with offset of about 10… then tweaked up the details

the torso is progressing alright also … u know about the hands and feet already
lets see more progression

Altermind: thank u very much man i almost thought no one will comment!
i’ll defenitly try that:)

I did make a few poly painting tests, just to take my mind off sculpting a bit…

I’m not happy with them but… not bad i geuss 4 my first try hand painting skin!:stuck_out_tongue:

let me know what u think:)

Like this head a lot.!!
Reason is that despite it being 3d, you can sense
a “character” here.
Somethng above “just a head”
Model based on anyone?

Best of luck

bicc39:Thank u very much, glad u liked her.

She’s based on Chopsticks!! that’s what i call her anyway!.. the poor thing gave up on me calling her by her name!!

I couldn’t resist working on the face again…something in the back of my mind kept bugging me about her features n likness…
but first i needed to do something about the mesh itself so i took alex’s advise(Altermind) to smooth the mesh at it’s lowest level n work up the details again, but…
doing that resulted in a huge loss of character(wasn’t carful enough) nd the mesh was already stretched too…so i got weird results…I kinda knew the stretched mesh would be a problem so i pretty much anticipated it n worked on a copy first.
anyways, i made a morph target out of my highiest level…went to the lower levels n smoothed the entire model about 5-6 times then deleted the higher levels, redevided the mesh & applied my morph target to get my detail back
that got rid of the stretching big time!
thanks to u alex nd the Zbrush refrence from the online documents here on ZB central!

Sooo, subtle changes…here 'n there, in the eyes, jaw, eyebrows nd the bridge of the nose…n voila!
I nailed her!
now i can work on the rest peacfully without any nagging from me!

SIdiMenTion,

Hey nice start so far, will be nice to see the finished image. The only thing I can suggest at this stage is when I initially looked at the body the arms appear to be too long. The fingers should reach approx. 3/4 of the way down the length of the thigh when outstretched and arms at the sides of the body, yours appear as if they might touch the knee cap. It could be just the angle of the image maybe. At any rate keep it up, will be watching this one as it progresses. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

bicc39: thanks, man glad u like it
AngelJ: thank u very much:D n yes the image was taken in perspective mode… (forgot to turn it off)…so some parts appear a bit out of proportion…i’ve been working on both views just to make sure, but still the settings of the perspective view r a bit tricky in terms of setting the right focal settings…i use it to look at the model in a fresh view while modeling at the moment.

I’ve been working on her body though, i’ll be updating her soon:D

Nop, not an update…i got a bit curious when i was masking n i began to what if i did this, what if i did that, n i turned her into a wacky version of a female skeletor android!
whatever that is!
anyway i saved her…maybe i could use her in something else… I did get some pretty interesting paterns…i might try some techniqes i always wanted to try:D

Well back to chopsticks, i should finish the body today.

SIdiMenTion,

Ahh ok, I thought it might be the image then and wonder if you had perspective turned on. Gotta love masking power, masking along with the rest of the zbrush features(love zspheres and tranpose) can be used so ingeniusly. Just a matter of not letting ourself get tunnel vision in how we approach things. Keep having fun and trying new stuff. Will stop back again to see the updates.

She looks great except for the lack of ear structures. Not wild about the doodle though, too haphazard looking I think. I think it would look better to mask off those areas and create new subtools from them, forming a basis for an intricate armor.

AngelJ:u bet man, Zspheres r great the transpose was very helpful specialy when i reposed the hands:D
i’ll post the update as soon as i’m done:D

womball:  nd u’ve read my mind! i already made 3 before i posted the image.
thank’s!
I’m glad u liked her, i’ve done the ear n finished it already, i’m working on the body, specificaly the limbs:D
drop by sometime i’ll post the updates soon:)

I’m done with the limbs…however i’m still working on the entire body, just focusing on body resemblance n asymmetry…

anyway here’s the head before n after.

I’ll post the entire model when i’m done.

Superb model man :+1: :+1: :+1:

like it man! try playing with the “P” (perspective) hotkey. just constantly flick from on to off with the perspective to give urself and idea of were its going. like flipping a canvas to get a good composition.

Sebcesoir: Thank u very very much man, glad u liked it :D, I’m a huge fan of urs:+1: :+1: :+1: !

henrysouth:Thanks 4 the tip, glad u liked it Henry :D. yeah perspective is very helpful in viewing the model, the mind needs refreshing just like a web page!

I’ll be posting updates soon

I made a few tweeks, thought i’d post her hand, it’s close enough…still needs work though, i’m done with the rest so far now i’m gonna subdivide 'n add more detail to everything. Her topology needs to be changed though, that’s what I’ve figured out recently, in some parts…her head’s topology is fine but the arms n legs need their topology to flow alot better…anyway,
C&C guys.
