Ive been sculpting characters for a little while now in zbrush and I want to start making my characters production ready. I know a few of them will need to open their mouths which I did not sculpt them to be able to do. What is the best way to sculpt the inside of the characters mouth?
For human characters, I usually model the inside of the mouth traditionally in Maya rather than sculpting it in Zbrush. most of the time, you won’t be able to see the inside of the mouth anyway because most of it will be obscured by the teeth, gums and tongue so you can get away with little to no detail.
However, say you would model a creature with a huge jaw then sculpt it with the mouth open and close it when rigging. It would also help retopologizing the sculpt and creating rough UVs for the mouth so that you can polygroup them in ZBrush. This will allow you to hide the body and the mouth interior easily.
Thank you. Ive been trying to figure out the best way of getting the mouth done
