Character WIP: Xavier Pendragon

Good morning everyone, here is a model that I have been working on for a while in Zbrush. This is the high resolution version of the game model that I am about to add textures to.

Here is an update on another prop that will go with Xavier, the Cane, which channels some of his powers…

Still adding details to the shaft, going for the carved look…stay tuned

Very cool character. I would use the transpose tool to move him around and make his stance more dynamic. Right now he looks too flat.

I love the cobra! :slight_smile: How did u get the bumps and scales in there?

All of the scales are done by hand with a scale alpha that I made…i have that character in the bind pose since I am only using the model for detailing…going to use a rig to pose him… more to come…

Really nice model!

Though if I were to make a few crits, I noticed two things:

The neck is too long to be folding in such large intervals
The wrinkles on the forehead come out, it looks fine in the front view, but from the side it looks wrong.

I will definitely fix those areas…my hands are not the steadiest…for the neck wrinkles, I had no refs for that…do you have any?

Wrinkles are kind of exaggerated and the proportions of the limbs are a little bit off

@modeller2526: I will definitely keep a note on the limbs. I had a feeling they were off…nothing that a quick visit to XSI can’t fix. The character is about 7.5 heads high in my drawing but I could slightly lengthen the limbs a little.

Now about the wrinkles, do you mean the wrinkles on his face or his robe?

Hey everyone, here is a render of Xavier in his final look before i move on to the next character. Listed on the renders are specs and details about the character. The fire was done with XSI 7 ICE…still learning it. I hope you enjoy it.
