Character modeling - Ogre!

Hi all!

I’m currently attending class at a school named FutureGames here in Sweden.
This is the second semester and we started it out with some character modeling.
We were free to choose any subject we wanted, if we wanted to do our own concepts it was okay. But I didn’t want to waste the time with that so I choose a concept from one of my favorite Swedish illustrators - Alvaro Tapia.

Heres’s his concept:

I’ve already done the lowpoly mesh in Maya, and working on getting all the details in before I can generate a normal map for the low poly. Also the hair is different, will show that in future post.

C&C are very welcome! :).

Cheers!

Nice progress so far! He’s lookin good. How’d you set up the reference images for the front and side view in Zbrush…?

Looking cool, look forward to the finish on this guy:+1:

Thnx guys!

Clintus Maximus - I made a regular 3D-plane in Zbrush and added the texture to it, duplicated it and changed to the second texture. After that i offset them in X and Z axis. Hope that helps :).

Have begun texturing his face, using photosourcing.
