Char modeling - Fan art, Dust Tactics

Hi all!

A time ago I made a thread with an ogre sculpt, that is now in the hands of a good friend and classmate so he can rig it, he will then animate it and I will just pose the ogre and do a final render.

So until that is done I’m starting out a new project, that follows the curriculum of my school.
Right now we have ten weeks to specialize on one subject, and mine will be be modeling, more exact character modeling.

I don’t want to waste time doing concepts, so I choose one of my favorite games Dust Tactics as my inspiration.
The plan is to do one model, and then turn that model into different characters just tweaking the textures and some minor remodeling.
For that purpose Dust Tactics with its squad of soldiers suits me very well.
The soldiers in the squads wear almost the same armor, cloth and gear, only thing different is the face and some equipment and weapons.

The whole thing will take about five weeks, I hope ;).
