Hi everyone.
I have ZBrush on my Macbook Pro but have decided that, in the near future I want a desktop for my graphical needs. Not a fan of Apple desktops and so will be switching to Windows.
Now, obviously this will mean a switch of license from Mac to PC and I want to double check the situation there as what I understand it to be makes little sense to me…
Sounds like I have two choices.
-
Purchase a second license for Windows at half price. This is no use to me as I really don’t have the budget for a second license and once I have the Windows version I don’t see myself using the Mac version anymore…
-
Find a Windows user who wishes to trade their license for my Mac license. Pixologic will swap our licenses over for free but I have to find a willing counterpart…
I’m not sure I understand the logic of the second option. It seems that it’d be easier for Pixologic to simply allow people to deactivate one platform permanently and re-license on the new platform. Even if it was for a small fee (as with transferring licences when selling on). Am I going crazy? Is there another option I’m missing?
I’m just a tad confused and don’t want to go pleading for a trade when it seems like their should be a simpler solution.
Can anyone shed any light?
Thanks
Steve
