ceratosaurus

Here is something I worked on over the break before college started(and am still working on). The hands still need some work as I feel they are a little formless and the feet/area could use more detail. I would appreciate anything else I cant spot.

I also made a timelapse video of most of the process, some major edits I forgot to record but its pretty much complete. Also the retopo turntable bit appears at the wrong time but it took a long time to encode so I will redo that later.

[edit video is about 70megs]

Very very good dino model! :+1: :+1:

Looks nice. But it looks very unbalanced. The frontal body mass is much larger than the tail back section. It would fall forward if it was real. It would have to stand almost straight up to balance. So that is something to think about. It looks visually unbalanced. Also, the thighs look a little scrawny for that body mass. If you look at animals that have similar body shape, their thighs are very big since that is most of their propelling limbs. So you could beef those up if you wanted.

A bit of definition to the muscles in the chest area might help a bit.
Nice work.

I beefed up the thighs and did a little on the chest but I really have no clue what the musculature of a dinosaur is (for the cxhest area) so I didnt do too much

great model it looks very realistic :+1: :+1:

great detailing on the body…The little ridges on the hind legs look robotic. You might want to add some variation to that. The teeth could be a bit sharper. Other than that, this is great detailing

The feet need to be bigger. Right now it is not looking like those feet can support the massive weight.

Make something with teeth, man…!
Work is great but teeth…

And one else thing - can you share a crust of alpha brushes that you used in your project?

Great modeling, proportions are accurate, I love dinosaurs, big fan of paleoart.

Keep this up, wanna see final.

That must have taken you ten million years.
