Center the arraymesh pivot point

I saw someone do this on a tutorial a week or two ago and used the technique at the time but now I can’t reproduce it.

This was to make a circular array mesh from the centre of the world.

It was a combination of pressing transform, lock and the home and centre buttons on the gizmo.

I can’t find the video again. Not sure if it was on you tube or z class room.

Maybe this might be the video? Or at least it might help.

Thanks that is a great collection of tutorials but not the one I was looking for.

The video I watched had the Array info right at the front. Kicking myself I can’t find it again.

Still can’t find the video but worked out what I was doing wrong. The Gizmo and Subtool had to be centred first. I was trying to rotate an object already in position which I would still love to know how to do.

Centre object and gizmo > Array mesh > Transform > Lock
Move it where you want it with gizmo. Unlock the gizmo and send it home. Lock it again then do the rotation array.
