cat x dog x human =

Hi all,
I m trying to make an adaptive skin that looks like a cross between the human and his two best friends. Here is the result so far but i can t pose the model because i converted it into an A-skin  my Z-sphere model was exploding when subdividing.Making an a-skin solved the problem, but partially…
I started from the Southern s adaptive skin found in ZB manual (sourthern ressource, thanx to him) and tweaked it.
I ll continue this in the next day as a noob practice
Any advices, comments are welcome.

After my trip from a another dimension, I stopped by the war of the worlds on earth, it seemed everything was just pouring into earth. Freakish creatures beyond your imagination. Perhaps it was due to the fact that earth just went into total Nukedom, and the fallout was the cause of all these weird creatures. As I exlpored the now vaste waistland of this once beautiful landscape, I came across this catlike, or doglike humanoid. Thank the gods I had my quick cbyersnap, to capture this weird creature. For a moment I thought he might attack me, not a wise idea, but the creature ran into some dark cave. What else will I see, I do not know, but I will capture it on my cybersnap. Signed Elvetree the traveler

I like this creature alot, it has personality, I can’t wait to see what you do with this one. love Sci-fi stuff

thx to you Elvetree. You gave me the idea to orientate this creature Sci-fi style.
At the begining I was imaging him with a bow but it will be a bolter or blaster (i don t know how you call it in english).Stay cool he s not violent, he protects the universe against the evil creeps.:o

If you want realy a cross between Cat Dog Man etc…
Zbrush can help you
Just use the Morph function !!!
The only condition :ex: each object must have the same number of Polygones & vertices !!!
Have fun crossing!
Pilou

Merci for the tip Pilou but I prefer to think the model directly.I ll try the morph technique later cause I have to do 2 models and read the practical guide before:lol:  I m going to print the practical guide because it s really a treasure (there is no other words)
It still needs lots of detail but it s advancing.I ll make a male and a female model for this creature. Here is the advancement so far.

Nice character Curo, great style. The only thing I notice and it may have been intended is that some geometry is toonish and soft others metallic and hard. I see it being a better character if you keep to the toonish and soft, but I’m not sure what you were going for.

Thx for the advice Jason.Yes, in fact i don t want to charge this character with too much details.I ll try to focus on the global shape, texture and being original.
