Cascading Hair

Reading about a lady’s hair “cascading about her shoulders” gave me this idea about a week ago, and I’ve been working on it on and off ever since.

This is not 100% ZBrush. The lady is Stephanie, imported from Poser. The background sky was created using Photoshop. The rest is ZBrush, however, and I’ll be uploading a LeDiscot-style step by step either tonight or tomorrow to show the overall progress.

And, for you detail lovers (you know who we are! :)), here are a couple actual size close-ups. Yes, the leaves and pebbles were modeled.

That would have to be one of the best step by steps I’ve ever seen. Uttlerly Fantastically brillant

Thankyou

Fabulous picture aurick !!

I can’t say more and great tut.

Thank you sooo much.

great rocks, I like the sharp edges

Marvelous Aurick! When I saw the title this is exactly what sprang to mind first! Great imagery and the plants are fantastic! :+1: :+1: :+1:

Awesome work man! :grimacing: :grimacing:
And very thanks for the step by step

Very Surreal Image. Extremely well done.
Thank you so much for the step by step. It was
fascinating to see how it all came to life. Really generous of you and a super learning tool.
*I wish that the head had been created in ZBrush too…Poser heads are too flawless
and therefore lack character.
Overall a truly stunning image and beautiful concept. :grimacing: :+1:

It’s been a few days since I’ve gone through the recent work here at the Central and I havn’t commented on how beautiful everything is that’s getting posted. But,back on track, I would like to say that this concept and the work behind it came out just great. Your colors are very brilliant where they need to be as well as subtle where that should happen. The modeling is as good as anything I’ve ever seen anywhere. (if not better). And on a personal note this one appeals to me because of the concept alone. I’ve seen pictures that depicted hair turning into a waterfall and and I’ve always liked that idea. Some portray it better than others. Your’s would fit into the “better” catagory. :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Great work

Thank you, all. I’m glad that you like this one. It’s one of my own personal favorites.

Since you liked the step-by-step presented this way, I’ll try to do more like it on future projects. This marked a first for me in that I saved the project in stages as I worked, which made it very easy to go back and get the pics of the earlier steps.

This is no where as good as yours Aurick, but was inspired by you ~s~ a wip obviously. Now that I’ve seen your step by step I’ll have to start this over. I did get to play with my leaf I scanned in. ~G~ Thanks for the tut and beautiful image to inspire and frustrate me. ~L~

I could see this done as a Mural on the side of a building. :+1: :+1:

Absolutely amazing. Amazing. I love this picture, Aurick. I can’t say it enough. Bravo! :+1: :+1: :+1: times infinity.
