Carrara 5 Pro Displacement maps

Due to a total misunderstanding, I am now the proud owner
of Carrara 5 pro, which to be frank, will not be the main program
of choice to use.
However since I got it, may as well play with it during “recess”
If Marcel uses it, how bad can it be?
Also it likes Poser models a lot.

With Maya I spent about 4 days total trying to understand
and apply displacement maps.Two of these were a whole weekend nonstop ( stubborn) This with the help of a great
video from Scott Spencer ( there is more material available now)
It was so hard to understand I now do one a week just to remember
how:rolleyes:

Would like to learn how to use in this program.
On just casually trying, have spent about 4 hours already and have
only had the program for 8.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Not an emergency…yet.

There is a displacement in Carrara tutorial at eovia3d.net which you may find useful. (You may need to register at eovia3d to view it).

Have to do this.
I am going to type this in a work program and save it

Reason is that it is used so often, saves time typing.

Let me say this, before I take what you do and provide,
for granted.

This forum and it’s members would be at a total loss without

Scripts, plugins, answers to dumb posts like this.
