Caracal

Hi,

I share this design based on the concept of Anna Shulgina (https://www.artstation.com/anekashu). Since I saw it I liked it a lot, I wanted to try to do it in 3D.

I only put one image, I updated the post with more*

Thanks for watching!

I don´t know the best way for made the padded texture in this case. I only made a displacement map in photoshop for use as reference to sculpt. UV, layers and zbrush masks helps a lot

I can see why you liked it. And although I haven’t seen the original, I really like the 3D version. You’ve put a lot of care and detail into it.

Doing the leaves in 3D was smart, too. It puts your character in the scene rather than looking like he’s standing in front of a backdrop.

Thank you very much Aurick! I like that you were so precise about what you liked. Much appreciated.

Thanks a lot Sr!

The fur grooming on the face could be better but everything else is perfect. Like the way shaders and lighting feels. :+1:

Thanks Sr! You’re right! I’m going to ask you something through ArtStation, you have amazing hair jobs.

I really love the soft bevels - great work!

Thank you Kingsley I appreciate your comment!

I like you gave him a more dynamic stand :+1:, was your intention dialing back on the colors? Looks good though.

Good observation Jaime, thank you! I made a version inspired by the original, you can see it here (the last one): https://www.artstation.com/artwork/18kRn2. This one that you see here moved away from the colors a bit, you’re right.
