Hi Levit
Zoom is the key “+” and “-”
Go there for see the answer of MtB for zoom during Editing

hi levitateme!

i made a quick test and found that the alt (de)zoom works when the cursor is set outside of the canvas as well, no matter if the object covers all of the canvas. using the "-"key wont affect editmode and will decrease the displayed canvas a bit, so you can make sure that the cursors red point is outside of the workingspace and wont sculpt instead of dezooming when doing the alt-zoom move.

another way would be to simply leave edit-mode, clear the layer and draw the modified object again in a size more to your gusto.

hope this helps

Also, there is another important function to remember:

By default, your object will rotate and zoom around it’s geometric center. However, there are times when you are zoomed in close that you don’t want that. Activating the Transform>Local button will allow ZBrush to use the last edited point instead.
