Can't Subdivide ZSphere Mesh?? (Image Included)

Hi, I am using ZSpheres 1. Please see my questions below. ZBrush 3.2 mac

  1. Can’t Subdivide ZSphere Mesh
I selected “Make Adaptive Skin”, then deleted the tool and then used the new Adaptive Skin tool, but when I look in the Geometry Tool I still have no option to “Subdivide”. The Subdivide is greyed out. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

  2. Mesh Isn’t Symmetrical
Why is the mesh not symmetrical when I had “Symmetry” on? (see image)

  3. Mesh Kinks
Is there a way to get the mesh to not “kink” I tried to adjust the Intersection Resolution and Membrane Curvature, but neither of these helped much.(see image)

Is someone able to help me with this.

The answer to questions 2 and 3 is due to the fact that your ZSpheres are not very good for an adaptive skin. This probably wouldn’t be an issue with 3.5 and the new ZSpheres II skinning algorithm, but the version that’s in 3.2 is still more touchy. Have you viewed the tutorial videos for ZSpheres? There’s a whole series of them under the Getting Started category at http://www.pixologic.com/zclassroom/homeroom/

Regarding question 1, I’m not sure. Based on what you said, Divide should be available.

Stupid me, I forgot to press the “Make Polymesh 3D button” :o :o Thanks.
