Can't select a primitive to create a mannequin

I was trying to make my own mannequin using a Zsphere and following along with the tutorial from ASK Zbrush about making your own mannequins.
My problem comes when I try to select any primitive for the local mesh or the connector mesh, the only selection I can make for either is the star-shaped primitive, all the other shapes are greyed out. I have tried this in Zbrush 2020 and in 4r7, and both show the same thing, no other option than the star shape. Is there something I am not doing or doing wrong?
Any information would be appreciated.

Hi @cspideraz

The meshes must be polymesh 3d objects. The default parametric primitives are not in this form. You must first select a primitive and create a pm3d object ( tool > Makepolymesh 3d). You will then be able to select the resulting mesh as part of your process.

The default star is a Polymesh 3d object, which is why you can select it.

Thank you very much, that’s just what I needed!
