I’ll click on an alpha and it will load in the texture not the alpha slot. There might be like 3 that will eventually load into the alpha, but the others won’t. And these are the preloaded alphas that come with ZBrush.
They have to be 8 or 16 bit Grayscale images before they will load into the Alpha palette. If they load into the Texture palette then they are probably RGB images. If they go into the Texture palette, just click Texture>Make Alpha.
Oh that would be easier then me going through every PSD and resaving them to work as an Alpha;)
