Cant load a ZPR

Hello guys,

I’m trying to load a project but I keep getting the following message…

“Error has been encountered while trying to load a Tool.
Loading has been aborted.”

…I’m kind of upset because I tried opening the last 4 versions of that ZPR but i keep getting the same message, which means a full day’s worth of work is lost :frowning:

Before I declare it as a total loss, I’m wondering if there’s something that I can try to open it? Im on windows 8, zbrush 4r7. Also, while In was working in those files, i kept getting an error message on low memory but I cleared up a lot of it and continued working, would that have been the issue?

It might be that you were saving undo history with the file. Go to “Preferences > Undo History” and enable “Skip Loading” button and then try loading the file. If that doesn’t work, you might want to prepare a eulogy.

Also, if you really don’t need your Undo History with the file, go to “Preferences > Undo History” and disable “Enable Saving” button then press Ctrl+Shift+I to save the Config.

You should always save the Tool (Tool > Save As) as well. That is the most reliable method of saving. At least you will retain the majority of your work should something go wrong.
