Can't Get No Sleep. Bunch of Pictures for Projects

Hi all fellow ZBrushers,

I was playing with this model for an animation yet to come. I’m not a real technical person but it always fascinates me when I power up the digital camera and the lens pops out of the body.

This gave me the crazy idea to create a short movie with a camera that has much too much parts for the lenses and while ejecting the camera falls down dueing the physics of gravity, ha.

I know it’s a bit of a pour idea. Just want to make some time to finish it and look at the results.

Will make a streaming video when the project is finished.

Main charactistics for the cam were made in Max8. Adjustments, texturing and rendering using ZBrush.

I know, it’s a bit technical and less organic but I think ZBrush is able to be used in workflow for many different approaches

If you like to view this demonstration animation, thinking of restarting this little project and merge the cam idea in the movie;

May the brushes be with you, keep on ZBrushing!

Dont think its a poor idea at all, I always find it funny when people pull out those cameras…and then comes the lens “look at me, I grow” moment. Very good observational humour.
Really like the model and the anim, please do post the end reults when you get round to merging ideas. :+1:

Thanks for your comments giantsun, it’s always nice to know an idea can be used even if I think that it is a simple one I think I should use another project for this one, the machine is working overtime at this moment to deal with the raytracing and depth-of-field.

I’ve another video with a ‘sketch-head’ which I want to finish. Perhaps this character is appropiate to use since I really want the camera project to have some nice degrees of humour, although I’m not certain at the moment which direction to go. Feel free to view a demo;

Know what! You really need to record the anim process your using under max so that a simple minded person like me can learn it. The moves are really smooth. :cool:
The camera is most def funny.

Thank you Giantsun for your comments. Max still has some shaded sides which I have to explore myself. At this moment I’m trying to solve some Inverse Kinematics for the lens, because this is a part where IK works great.

Ofcourse this piece has to be fine detailled with ZBrush and textured. This is ofcourse a ZBrush post and not for Max itself, both programs are appreciated a lot by me. When the project is finished I could create a short step-by-step.

Keep you posted about the work in progress, thanks for your comments guys.
