Can't Dynamesh>Sub

So I used to have no problems cutting shapes out with the dynamesh>sub option but it stopped working for some reason, now it just dynameshes the objects together :confused:

I select these options, merge down from the object I want to make the sub down to the object that is getting subbed, then dynamesh>sub. Thats what I always used to do, but just for in case I tried a bunch of different ways with no luck! can anyone help please? thanks.

You might want to check out this thread. http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?189286-Problem-merging-SubTools-as-DynaMesh Plus, you will need to swop your 3D Model/Booleans around.

Yeh, the one that you’re subtracting should be at the bottom. Also, you need to make sure it is fewer polygons than the one that you’re subtracting from.

oh man, I figured ti out, thanks guys! I guess dynamesh should only be turned on for the figured being cut :stuck_out_tongue:
